Located in Shropshire, Weston Park is a fascinating stately home that sits on 1,000 acres of stunning parkland.  With the parklands dating back to 1565 and the stately home 1674, Weston Park offers a variety of activities and incredible beauty along with a fascinating history that can be seen across every aspect of Weston Park.

Location

Weston Park is located approximately 30 minutes from both Stafford and Shrewsbury, providing an ideal location for the West Midlands.  If travelling by car, Weston Park is easily located on the A5 at Weston-under-Lizard and is located just 3 miles from junction 3 of the M54 or 8 miles from junction 12 of the M6.   Alternatively Weston Park can be reached via train with the nearest train station being Telford which is approximately a 15 minute taxi journey to Weston Park. .

Weston Park provides an excellent day out to combine with your Segway Rally.  The grand stately home offers visitors the chance to take a look at the incredible fittings and architecture boasted by the house, including one of England’s most impressive collections of paintings in the opulent Dining Room and a Victorian Library hosting over 3,000 books.  With guests including previous Prime Minister Benjamin Disraeli and country leaders from the 1998 G8 summit visiting the house, a tour of Weston Park is not to be missed (please note the house is closed on Saturdays).  Alternatively for those looking to further explore the 1,000 acre parkland, a Medieval Deer Park, gardens dating back to the 17th & 18th Century  as well as a sensory garden offer a lot to explore.  Furthermore with an outdoor adventure playground and a miniature railway, it is easy to keep children occupied whilst you enjoy the surroundings!  Lastly, Weston Park offers a fantastic place to grab a bite to eat at the Granary Grill which offers fresh, locally sourced meals served in the Old Malting House.  With views over the Church Pool and estate cottages, the Granary Grill will offer you a delightful place to relax whilst enjoying the relaxed atmosphere of the restaurant.  For those who would prefer a lighter bite to eat Granary Deli & Café offers a range of homemade pastries and mouth-watering cakes to enjoy.

For those looking further afield to continue their day out, Birmingham is 40 minutes away and offers a great shopping experience with the Bullring Shopping Centre hosting a range of shops including one of just four Selfridges stores in the country.
